Trail Leader

Chuck’s cousin’s son brought his kids out to explore the cave at the farm and Sara (5) wanted to be the trail leader. Of course, we let her lead. The cave wasn’t her favorite though. It was a bit wet and dark for her liking so once we finished there, she took us down through the hollow.

She led us up the hill to the next field and scrambled up the ladder to the tree stand with her little sister following right behind. I love hillbilly kids! They love the woods, fresh air and being a part of life on the farm. Later in the afternoon our farmer’s grandson dropped in too. He quickly got busy helping Chuck saw wood for his workbench. Happy kid-filled weekend at the farm!
