Eat

We settled around the table this afternoon with friends to eat chili and catch up. It was the first meal on our new table , and a belated birthday hooray for my pal, which make the meal extra sweet. The table took a while to make but it was worth the wait. It’s beautiful but not nearly so precious as the friends we broke bread with. I love hearing their kids laughter in our home and it makes me happy that they like being here. A joyful start to 2024 on a chilly afternoon.
